Birdbrain

Every morning, this bird lands on the roof of the garage a few houses over from ours. He drops onto the far end and waddles along the peak until he reaches the near end, where he always stops and peers down.

All summer, I observed this behaviour and wondered what the heck has the bird so intrigued. I even walked over to see for myself if there is anything on the ground in front of the garage to attract the gull’s attention.

There isn’t.

Now I believe that he’s looking at his feet and asking himself:

“If I’m a seagull, how can I be pigeon-toed?”
