Witness the
holiday hat trick – a favoured video by a favoured singer of a favoured Christmas
carol. This was the best track on the first “Very Special Christmas” compilation back in 1987 and I’ve been
looping it for a while so thought I’d share.
Sting reprised it
for his album, If On A Winter’s Night,
but this remains my favourite version. The video is typical of him as well,
all Goth and broody and gorgeous.

It was so great to watch the "If on a Winter's Night" DVD last night! Perfect kick off to Christmas vacation. So glad that I finally came around to understanding this man's genius. Sting is a God!
ReplyDeleteAlas, he's not as broody and gorgeous anymore, but he does remain an deity - and I agree: his Winter's Night concert is the perfect way to start a Christmas holiday!
